Being Thankful
There are many things we can say to God in prayer. To start, we should first recognize who He is. He is Holy, Righteous, Merciful, Sovereign and Good. I could go on but I will just end it there. Before you start listing the things you want God to do for you, how about telling Him, "thank you." Begin to thank God for all He has done for you, your family. Has He not been gracious? Is He not worthy? Even when we fall short, (remember that we all have), God is still gracious towards us. We don’t expect the world to recognize God’s goodness, yet the bible tells us in Matthew 5:45, NKJV, “…for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.” Now that’s GRACE! So the next time you pray, first recognize who you are praying to. Praise, honor and adore Him! Then, begin to thank Him because He is God. Amen.
